These materials were created by Dawn Mercer, Lisa Fiedler, Stacy Vandemark, and Jan Hodgson of the Olathe School District, Olathe, Kansas, in preparation for a weeklong school visit I had there in January 2013, when I had the honor of having Mason Dixon: Pet Disasters selected as the book to be read by all the K-5 students in their 34 elementary schools as part of their F.R.E.D. program (Families Read Every Day).
